Happy Thanksgiving friends. I absolutely L O V E this holiday before the busyiness of the holiday season. A quiet pause. A time filled with family, friends gratitude. Void of expectations to give or receive monetary gifts and turning our attention to all that we are grateful for.
My youngest was also born on Thanksgiving day and tomorrow she’ll turn 18.
Beautiful gifts.
We typically don’t host Thanksgiving, but this year some family members were traveling so my husband and I happily hosted at our house. It was a smaller gathering than normal, but each seat around our table was filled with people we love so dearly. It was perfect.
All of my dinner plates, bowls, and cups were thrifted or gifted. I love to mix and match coordinating patterns.
To share some love, everyone got a little white pumpkin to take home (Target has the best little trinkets in their front bins). Hours before people arrived, my sweet daughter Myah filled each one of the pumpkins with an adorable crocheted heart she made, I was thrilled! That girl has some MAD crochet skills I tell ya! Those sweet lil’ hearts made the sweet lil’ gourds even sweeter, don’t ya think???
So there is always something to be grateful for and starting your day with a gratitude practice truly makes for a happier life. Perhaps a simple gratitude journal; write down 5 things you are grateful for. It’s easy and expands your awareness to even the smallest things that we may otherwise overlook or take for granted. Practicing this daily also helps to rewire your neuropathways opens your awareness to appreciate whats important. sets your intention for the day sets you up for a better outlook. I live by and truly believe that daily gratitude absolutely makes for a more well-balanced, healthier, happier and fulfilled life.
My cup feels so full and my heart abundant with love and gratitude.
